Libraries closing temporarily for renovations
Two Chesterfield County Public Library branches are temporarily closing - one for maintenance and one for a dramatic makeover.
The Central Library will close at 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, for necessary maintenance; the library is expected to re-open in March 2012. The Ettrick- Matoaca Library will close at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 21 for major renovations, and an interim facility will open Feb. 13 on the library's front lawn. The revamped library will reopen in early 2013. While the libraries are closed, users can check out and return items at other Chesterfield
County Public Library branches, and access materials 24/7 from our home page.
To assist customers needing library services during these closings, 3 branch locations will be open on Thursdays beginning Jan. 26. The branches are Chester, LaPrade and Meadowdale. Get directions to these locations here.
